Khalsa has an important role in slowing the spread of this disease. Information about this situation is rapidly evolving, and we are in close communication with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, ADHS, and the Department of Ed.
In August 2020, Governor Ducey and Superintendent Hoffman officially closed all Arizona schools through the end of the 2019-20 school year and delayed the start of the school year by one week.
Since then, Khalsa has been continuously operating safely with minimal incident for the school years that have followed by employing a blended in-person and distance learning method, and by adhering to safety and sanitation standards. In March of 2021, all Arizona district and charter schools were directed to return to in-person learning no later than the Monday following spring break, or March 15th.
Now as the 2021-22 school year comes to a close, we are hopeful about a more normal upcoming 2022-23 school year.

We are carefully monitoring directives from county health authorities who have provided guidance that schools take steps to reduce gatherings of large public groups and increase social distancing. Masks are required for anyone entering the school premises except for Toddlers and Primary students.
